Hi Steve,

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t have the touch command on your system. Could be a path problem, yeah. Assuming you have ‘locate’, you can find it with the command ‘locate touch’. Mine is located in /usr/bin/. It’s not really all that useful of a command, though… it just updates the modification time on a file. I guess it’s useful if you need to do that, but I don’t think it’s a requirement for running Clang.

I’m pretty new to the world of the Mac. I’ve been trying to create the bash file. I’ve gone into Spotlight, found Terminal, clicked on it. A black command window opens up, when I type in the touch command it fails.

92:~ stephengray$ cd ~/
92:~ stephengray$ touch .bash_profile
-bash: touch: command not found
92:~ stephengray$

This doesn’t sound great does it? I’ve ‘played around’ trying to get Clang working in the past so perhaps I’ve messed up a little on the way. After doing some searching it says that the .touch, ls commands come from CoreUtils. Perhaps I have just messed up my PATH structure of something but sadly I’ve got no idea on how to fix it. Any help would be really appreciated!!
